Minutes

July 15, 2008 5:30pm

Twenty-three members were in attendance for the July 15, 2008, BBA meeting held at The Delta Room. Members present were, Ernest & Ann Lytle, Andrea B. Johnson, Albert & Paulette Campbell, Ann Gardner, Jimmy Coulston, Jean Carney, Harvey Livingston, Tony Cooper, Bob Taylor, John Ashworth, Scottie & Betty Morris, Tim Stokely, Kay Kirkland, Sonia Outlaw Clark, Richard Carraway, Joe Stephens, Beth Newman, Billy Tripp, Pat Bailey, Dr. Sue McElrath.

Albert Campbell started the meeting with prayer. Joe Stephens read the Mission Statement.  The minutes of the June meetings were passed out to all the members.  They were approved as written.   The treasury report was also approved as presented.   

Ann Gardner gave a report on the street banners.  Banners will be on every fifth pole starting at I-40, Exit 56, leading into Brownsville. There are two banner designs with a minimum order of 20 each.  Costs are $400.00 for members and $450.00 for non-members for a 2-year contract.  To date there are 15 banners sold.

We had two new members in attendance, Bob Taylor and Tony Cooper of the States Graphic.

Richard Carraway informed us of the Community & Patriot Express Workshop.

The Member decals were passed out.

Introduced Jean Carney as our new Treasurer.

Deanna Ward was our guest speaker from Connected Tennessee.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, August 19, 5:30 p.m., at the Delta Room.
