Eighteen members were in attendance for the June 17, 2008, BBA meeting held at The Delta Room. Members present were, Albert & Paulette Campbell, Ernest & Ann Lytle, Jerry C. Rogers, Andrea B. Johnson, Daniel Thornton, Scottie Morris, Ann Gardner, Kay Kirkland, Richard Carraway, Jimmy Coulston, Brenda Blue Recio, Betty Williams, Elmira Manns, Harvey Livingston, John Ashworth, Jim Haywood

Albert Campbell started the meeting with prayer and presided over the meeting in the absence of the President, Sonia Outlaw-Clark. The minutes of the April and May meetings were passed out to all the members. They were approved as written. The treasurer report was also approved as presented.

Ann Gardner gave a report on the street banners. Banners will be on every fifth pole starting at I-40, Exit 56, leading into Brownsville. There are two banner designs with a minimum order of 20 each. Costs are $400.00 for members and $450.00 for non-members for a 2-year contract. Orders are now being accepted.

We had several new members in attendance so all the members present told a little bit about their business so we could all get a little more acquainted with our neighbors.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, July 15, 5:30 p.m., at the Delta Room.
